  This review is purely because we had heard great things about the resuraunt and it wasn't open any of the three times we came. We had already looked at Google for opening hours. Seriously when are you actually open? What kind of restaurant isn't open at lunch time. Business 101. :(

  Food was okay once it got to the table but a little expensive for what you get. We got served 1 out of 2 coffees when we were pretty much finished eating and they forgot about the second, but it was very busy. Will probably go back again.

  What a difference new owners make. Good portion sizes, fresh seafood, well cooked and a decent crumb / batter at a reasonable price. With plenty of space outside of the cafe to sit on the grass and just enjoy the river, or make your way down to the children's playground (100 meters away) if you have little ones, the Boat House Cafe in summer is easy to recommend. There is space inside or on the upper deck of the cafe if you'd prefer, but we love to throw out a blanket and sit on the grass with the baby or friends and enjoy the river.
